About Diversity Scuba

The Diversity Team
The Diversity Scuba team are friendly, experienced PADI professionals whose services include a full range of PADI training courses from Discover Scuba all the way to Instructor.

Our dive staff and support are professional, safety-conscious and experienced and will ensure that your Mozambique dive experience is of the highest quality. We offer the highest standard of diver training in a safe, relaxed environment.

Our Boats
We have three excellent dive boats, one 7.4 meter rib (semi-rigid inflatable dive boat), with a capacity of 14 divers, and two 8 meter ribs with a capacity for 16 divers. We can do as many as three launches in a day from each boat, offering recreational diving on over fourteen different dive sites in the Tofo area, including the famous Manta Reef.

All have stainless steel tank racks that hold up to 16 sets of equipment plus storage for fins, weights and other equipment in the centre. There is ample space to cater for cameras and other goods. Each is fitted with advanced GPS for easy dive site location, plus emergency oxygen, first aid equipment and full DOT seaworthy kit for your safety and peace-of-mind.

Our Equipment
Comfort is very important when you're diving. That's why we provide top quality rental equipment that ensures you have a comfortable dive every time. Our Scubapro Glide 500 and 1000 B.C.D's (Buoyancy Control Devices) are comfortable and easy to adjust and our dependable Scubapro Mark II / R190 regulators are very strong and durable and provide easy breathing, even at depth. Of course, all our equipment is serviced and updated on a regular basis to ensure that it is always in top condition.

The waters of the Indian Ocean are warm and inviting for most of the year. However, for those that feel chilled on longer dives and for the cooler months (June to September) we provide additional 3mm neoprene hoods. We provide full-length 5mm Scubapro and Coral wetsuits that are titanium coated to give extra insulation. Full-foot Mares and Scubapro fins and an assortment of quality masks complete the set.

Facilities
The dive centre's facilities include a large training pool, hot showers and changing facilities, full Scuba Pro, equipment rental, tank fills (10lt, 12lt and 15lt, steel plus aluminium) including Nitrox to 40% and all other necessities with a large personal equipment store room.

On the roof is a large area for briefings and de-briefings, It is covered, with some sections for those of you who like to catch some sun. You can also enjoy a cold drink from the “50 bar” bar and watch your days diving on the wide screen TV. There is ample storage for your personal kit and all other diving arrangements.

Diving

Before your day's scuba diving begins, join us in the shop for a wake-up cup of tea or coffee. There is ample space for you to assemble and test your diving equipment before it is loaded onto the boat. Our staff will help you with all your equipment requirements. Before the dive, the dive guide will give a full and thorough dive and safety briefing and answer any questions that you may have. There is a safe in the office to store your valuable items while you are out diving.

It is only a short walk from the shop to the beach and across the sand. Your equipment will be transported to the boat - no heavy carrying!

Once the boat is launched, it is generally only a short journey to some of the most spectacular reefs in the area.

After the dive, take time with us to enjoy another cup of coffee to quench your divers thirst, flick through the fish books and log your dive with our staff members. There will be plenty of time to swap your equipment onto a fresh tank and relax a while longer before the next dive. Alternatively, if it is your last dive of the day, there is plenty of fresh water to rinse your equipment, hanging space and storage in our spacious gear room.

Close by are various cafés where you can enjoy snacks, coffees and milkshakes while you relax.

For those of our customers participating in one of our PADI Courses, we have an excellent 9m x 5m on-site salt-water training pool for completion of all shallow water training in controlled and comfortable conditions. We have cool and comfortable classroom facilities equipped with TV, video, and all other requirements for an enjoyable training environment. We provide all the training materials and equipment (up to and including Rescue Diver) that you will require for your course.
